Holly & Dave’s November Wedding at Shelly Beach, Manly. A gorgeous sunny day photographing a fun, easy going group of people.
The bridal party were super keen to try this jump in the air photo, they’d seen it before & wanted to star in their own version. Pretty easy considering the girls were wearing thongs. They did about 4 jumps in total, & we captured so many great photos it was hard to narrow it down. It was a hilarious high energy part of the day, a great way to end the photo shoot, so much fun. Check out the individual poses each of them strike as they jumped. You could never set up the poses in this shot as well as this bridal party did so spontaneously.
The Wedding rings.
Boys with their Pontiac all set to head off to the ceremony.
The bride saying goodbye to her dog.
No point in wearing heels to this beach ceremony. The Bride & bridesmaids each wore a pair of diamonte studded havianas.
Yellow rose petals fill these paper cones for the flowers girls to sprinkle as they walk down the aisle.
The bride & her father walking down the aisle on Shelly Beach.
Married on the sands of Shelly Beach, the ceremony was beautiful. All of the beach goers stopped to watch & applauded spontaneously when the celebrant announced they were now husband and wife. The seahorse statues set the scene perfectly, & were also used inside Le Kiosk around the cake table.
Beach ceremony, white chairs, & a stretch of carpet down the aisle.
All five flower girls dressed in matching white dresses with silver sandals.
This is my favourite image from the day. The bride & groom standing beside their a frame sign with their names spelt out in sea shells. They used the sign to direct guests at the beach ceremony, & then again outside the reception at Le Kiosk.
Group photos always take a moment to get everyone in place, & once they are the window in which everyone stays in place is short! Its well worth capturing though for a memorable image including all of your guests.
The beauty of stunning locations like these, heading off to get your portraits taken is a stroll in the park! well across the sand. The best man had it all sorted with their picnic basket filled with champaign.
The choice of colours for the bridal party are quite fitting for this beach themed wedding. Soft yellow for the bridesmaids, light grey for the groomsmen, topped with white parasols to keep the sun out of their eyes.
The happy couple in their favourite tree. They specifically requested a photo on the branches of this tree, which had a sentimental connection to the couple.
Le Kiosk restaurant on Shelly Beach was the obvious choice for this Wedding. From the sand to the reception, no need to drive, no need for guests to travel. It all makes for a relaxing summer afternoon.
Two tiered square wedding cake, iced in white & silver.
We’ve seen the tradition of bonbonniere’s evolve in the last year. Couples are opting for a simpler approach & putting the money towards a cause instead. This couple chose a simple macaroon, wrapped in cellophane with a note about a donation to the Cancer Council.
